Why use wtftv?
In real life, we experience things spatially. Our brains are constantly calculating distances, sizes, and volumes to understand the world around us.
wtftv 360º Interactive 3D Tours give users more than visuals - they provide the feeling of being in a physical location. We have all seen the 360 degree Photography on the generic sideshow of still images. The industry is changing and your competitors know about this. Stay connected with your visitors with the new 3D Showcase virtual tour.
A wtftv 360º Interactive 3D Tour is the only way to give your audience a true sense of presence - the feeling of being in a place. That’s why our showcase are the most immersive way to experience a physical location online. Better than Real Estate Photography and 360 Virtual Tours.
How does a wtftv 360º Interactive 3D Virtual Tour differ from a traditional "virtual" tour?
A traditional virtual tour isn’t really virtual. It’s just a gallery of stationary panoramic photos.
Although techniques vary, most traditional tours don’t allow the viewer to move around within the space. At the very most, traditional tours offer 10 individual locations to view the space.
Traditional photographers use DSLR cameras to capture multiple photos which are then stitched together to form a panorama which is viewed from a player.
Our 3D virtual tours allow the viewer to explore the space in up to 200 locations that are seamlessly stitched together. We use high tech Matterport 3D cameras which have 12 cameras and sensors to not only capture photos but to create a polygon mesh. This mesh is rendered into a dynamic 3D model which can be explored online or even with a virtual reality headset. Plus, our 3D models also show a “Floor Plan View” as well as a “Dollhouse View” to allow the viewer to conceptualise the space.
wtftv 360º Interactive 3D Virtual Tours also include embedded videos which can be viewed on mobiles and tablets, something that other "virtual" tours cannot do.
wtftv 360º Interactive 3D Virtual Tours also include the Matterport Interactive 3D dollhouse view option, making it easier for viewers to navigate through your property in a fun interactive way.
How long does the process take?
For a space of up to 250m² the scanning process takes between 1.5hrs – 2hrs as long as the space is ready and empty of moving objects such as pets and people, after that the processing and editing of the model typically takes 24hrs.
However, there are circumstances where projects could take up to 72 hours to turnaround.
What do I need to do before the appointment?
We ask that you have the space in a condition suitable for presentation before the scheduled appointment. If there is a lockbox or garage code, please provide instructions on how to access.
See section below concerning "Preparing for a Scan"
What can I expect during the process?
Once the 3D appointment is set up a trained staff member will meet you at the property. He/She will then prep the location for 3D Scanning
- Turn on lights, open doors and close windows.
- Remove any clutter or unwanted objects from the space "paper towels, pet stuff, dishes, etc."
- Close any doors that will not be mapped "small closets".
- Remove any people or pets from the scan areas.
- Turn off TV's and Fans.
How can I share my 3D tours?
Your new tour will be hosted on a secure cloud. You will receive a link and an embedded code with in 24 hours of the render. It is easy to share! Simply copy paste into any website, email, Facebook post, or social media platform.
Can you scan outdoors?
Yes we can provide 360 degree shots of your outdoor spaces which can be included included in a highlight reel.
3D data requires geometry in order to produce a 3D model, so if there is no roof to indicate height, the camera will not normally be able to produce a 3D image. The 360º panorama will still give an effective view of the exterior of your property and the surrounding scenery.
wtftv also offers free video links to all of our beautiful beaches around Port Stephens which a viewer can simply tap on to view during the 360º interactive tour.
Do I need a 3D headset to view the tour?
You can view the 360º Interactive tour on any desktop, mobile, or tablet device.
To view the 3D tour, you will need a VR headset.
VR headsets are relatively inexpensive and are compatible with both Apple and Samsung phones. You operate the headset via the FREE downloadable Matterport VR app, which is available from Google play and the Apple App store.
Instructions on setting up a VR headset can be viewed from

Prepping for a scan
Preparing for a Property Scan
We provides the latest innovative immersive virtual reality scanning technology which showcases property in its entirety to potential buyers in the market. To ensure we deliver our services to the highest quality, please read the checklist below.
1. Clean up
Rule of thumb – How you view a room is how it will be featured in the 3D Tour. In order for us to deliver the greatest results, it is important your property is clean and tidy.
WE CANNOT REMOVE THINGS POST SCAN.
2. Items to be removed
– Washing baskets
– Shoes on the floor
– TV remotes
– Remove all un-styled elements (e.g. shampoos, razors, etc.)
– Close toilet seats
– Pets/animals removed or restrained
– Do not hide items – remove them from the room
These objects add unnecessary clutter to your property, which is reflected in your 3D Tour. If you would prefer a room not to be featured in the 3D Tour, please remember that we cannot add it in at a later date. Once a scan is complete, it’s impossible to return and add a room.
3. Overall presentation
The most effective method to showcase your property is achieved by presenting your furniture, floorboards, and fixtures as you would for an open inspection. Please ensure the list below is completed prior to our 3D technician arriving on the day for the greatest results.
– House lights and lamps on
– Curtains and blinds open
– All internal doors open
4. Stay out of frame
Our 3D scanners rotate 360 degrees unlike traditional cameras, and capture everything it sees (if you can see the scanner it can definitely see you). Any movement during the scanning process will create a problem in the overall geometry resulting in poor quality imaging. (Think of it as the same as when you are having an MRI image done.) We will explain the process with you to ensure that we deliver the best results.
If there are small children or animals present, please ensure they are supervised during the 3D scan process. It is crucial that you inform the 3D technician immediately if you or anyone has walked past the 3D scanner. We are unable to delete or remove any images once the 3D technician has left your property.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
